Snap
A 'snap' is the term given to a 'saved condition' which can then be reloaded as required. The term derives from the word 'snapshot' meaning that the recording is a complete record of a total scenario at a specific point in time.
While running a model, the instructor is able to snap the condition at any time and save it to a library. This snap can later be recalled or worked upon to enable specific conditions to be set up as a starting point for future exercises.
There are two 'snap' functions available:
- Snap
The instructor can manually take a snap at any given time that is considered suitable, and may select an appropriate name and the position within the library file for easy identification at a later date.
- AutoSnap
Automatic snapshots can be taken during the running of a exercise at set intervals selected by the instructor from a minimum period of 1 minute. During exercise development, this is used to be able to select the most appropriate point from which to begin the final exercise setup procedures.
During the running of actual exercises, snaps can be used to track the progress of a student by allowing the instructor to go back a short period of time if a problem is encountered, avoiding the need to rerun the total scenario.
Copy Snap
Once a snap has been created on one station, this functionality allows individual snaps to be copied to other stations as required.

Instructor Pages
The instructor has the ability to be able to access any of the appropriate parameters within the model via the use of 'Instructor' pages. These pages are displayed on the simulator control screen and allow the setting of:
- malfunctions
- adjustment of appropriate system variables such as pump cavitation factors, valve sizes, flow rates
- monitoring of conditions at various points within the modeled system including liquid and vapor compositions
