MAXIM 300

Maxim 300 Logo

Simulates a typical Medium Speed Diesel Engine complete with auxiliary plant such as Fuel Supply, Lubrication, Cooling and Compressed Air. Initial conditions (for example; Ambient Temperature, Loading, Fuel Quality etc.) can be set by an instructor before students prepare for a main engine start. Faults can be introduced at any stage causing the simulator to react in a normal way as systems degrade in real-time.

Each system is displayed in the form of an interactive pipeline diagram that shows the location of all machinery. Simply point and click to operate values, pumps etc. and watch values of important parameters change in real-time. Study several systems at once using the multiple resizable windows. Study how specific systems operate by referring to photographic images and on-line help files. Analyze student performance using the comprehensive logging facility. Maxim 300 can be purchased as a generic or marine engine configuration.
