 | Crude Oil / Products Tanker | |
The vessel is equipped with 12 main cargo tanks comprising of 12 wing tanks together with two cargo slop tanks and one cargo residue tank. Each tank is connected to one of three main cargo lines which in turn can be cross connected allowing flexibility in the setting up of the cargo system. The slop tanks can also be cross connected separately allowing closed cycle washing techniques to be used. The main cargo lines are connected via the pumproom to three cargo manifolds located on each side of the vessel.
Level indications together with high level and overfill alarms are provided on each cargo tank using a 'radar' type of monitoring system. The facility is provided for the level to be indicated both in sounding and ullage. A water / oil interface detector is also provided on all of the tanks providing interface level and water cut readings.

Cargo Pipelines
The vessel is designed to be able to carry up to three segregated cargoes. The model allows any grade of oil to be placed into the tanks. At run time the operator can choose the cargo required from a list of ten previously defined. This list can be adjusted as required. The model will handle the effects of both the mixing of different grades together with the introduction of water into the system
