Gas Detection Facilities are provided to allow the operator to check manually the gas concentration for oxygen, %LEL or %Vol hydrocarbons in three locations within each space. The monitors are designed to be operated in a similar way to portable instruments used on board. In addition an automatic gas monitoring system is incorporated for the ballast tanks and additional spaces. |
