Gas Detection Facilities are provided to allow the operator to check manually the gas concentration for oxygen, %LEL or %Vol hydrocarbons and dew point in various locations within each tank. The instruments are designed to be operated in a similar way to portable instruments used on board. In addition an automatic gas monitoring system is incorporated for the ballast tanks and additional spaces. |
