 | Liquid Petroleum Gas Terminal | |
The facility is equipped with 4 fully refrigerated storage tanks. Each tank is equipped with two main and one emergency electric driven centrifugal cargo pumps, of the deepwell type. The
pressurized storage consists of two cylindrical tanks with appropriate connections. These tanks are not equipped with pumps.
Level indication and alarms are provided together with the contents temperature at three levels and tank pressure on all tanks.
The terminal is designed to be able to handle up to two grades of LPG at a time. The model allows any type of gas to be placed into the tanks. At run time the operator can choose the cargo required from a cargo matrix.
The main piping system comprises two separate systems each consisting of a liquid,
vapor and cooldown line. Each pipeline system connects to two storage tanks to two manifolds on each berth. Cross connections are provided at the berths to allow the systems to be joined if required. Surge drums are fitted on the liquid lines to provide protection in the vent of manifold closure.
