WISE Cargo

Who is it for?

The program is designed for all personnel who will be involved in cargo operations on bulk liquid carriers. The sophistication of both the simulator models and the feedback system allow it to be used successfully by personnel with all levels of experience. The feedback is linked to the results of specific actions and provision is provided so that particular sets of rules can be loaded at a particular time to monitor specific skill levels or operations.

The portability of the system makes it suitable to be used:

• By individual companies, either within an office or training center ashore, installed on individual vessels or in any other location that may be suitable.
• Training establishments who have identified a need to conduct training in cargo operations but only on a small scale or do not have the required instructor expertise.

In addition, the system can be used to compliment a classroom based 'SAfeCargo' simulator where it can be used to extend the operational capability of the LCHS beyond periods when instructors are only available such as for the provision of training in the evenings or at weekends.

The system, as supplied, will complement required shore based courses and also allows companies to develop their own training programs. In addition, specific training programs for each model type will be available covering all aspects of conducting operations safely and efficiently for the various skill levels of operating personnel.
